The FNS50315 Diploma of Finance and Mortgage Broking (upgrade) reflects management roles in finance and mortgage broking where work is undertaken independently, through an aggregator, or involves managing a workplace team. At this level individuals are expected to apply theoretical knowledge and specialised skills in a range of situations and to display initiative and judgement in planning activities. They have autonomy in performing complex technical operations and may be responsible for the work of others within broad but generally well-defined parameters.

Students looking to upgrade from the Certificate IV in Finance and Mortgage Broking

If you have already completed the FNS40815 Certificate IV in Finance and Mortgage Broking you will be awarded 5 credit transfers towards your Diploma. If you have completed an earlier version of this qualification you may be awarded 4 or 5 credit transfers depending on the units you have completed. The Integrity Team will let you know how many credit transfers you will be awarded based on your previous studies. 

Program Delivery & Support

The FNS50315 Diploma of Finance and Mortgage Broking Management is delivered through our online learning platform, myIntegrity.  All course content, learning and assessment materials and resources are provided to you through this platform.

Online

This study options offers complete flexibility - Students can study at a time and place that suits their work and family schedule. There are no requirements to attend any classes.

All online students have unlimited telephone and online access to a trainer between 9am-5pm.

Blended

This study option provides students with 3 Face-to-Face workshop classes where you can learn from experienced industry practitioners who share their 'war stories', which provides students with first-hand insight in to how to become a Mortgage Broker.  

Our Melbourne based workshops are conducted in our training rooms at Level 4, 84 William Street, Melbourne, VIC 3000. Workshops are delivered in a central location in the CBD of each capital city in all other states.  Our course schedules can be viewed here

All workshop classes commence at 9am and finish at 5pm. In addition to the support you will receive from your 3 days with your trainer you will also have unlimited telephone and online access to a trainer between 9am-5pm for duration of your enrolment.

Online students have the option to upgrade their enrolment to join into one /all workshop classes.

Fees

There are 2 possible Fee types for this course, depending on your personal circumstance.

  • Full Fee
  • Government Funding for Victorian Residents through the Skills First Program.

The FNS50315 Diploma of Finance and Mortgage Broking Management requires 15 units of competency, made up of 10 core units and 5 electives. The elective units have been chosen based upon consultation with industry.

Assessments

Integrity Education has carefully structured its assessments to include a variety of styles to cater for the learning needs of a broad range of students. Assessment methods may include:

Course Entry Requirements

Minimum requirements

  • At least 18 years of age at the time of enrolment.
  • Access to a computer and internet connection.
  • Computer skills, as detailed below.
  • Meet the required levels in Language, Literacy & numeracy, as explained below.
     

Language, Literacy & Numeracy Requirements

This course requires you to read comprehensive learner guides, complete a range of written assessments, undertake independent research activities and at times engage in online forums and discussions.

All learners will undertake a language, literacy and numeracy skills assessment prior to the course commencement. This assessment will highlight if you require any additional support in these areas.

 

Skill requirements

To successfully complete this course, learners will require basic computing skills. This may include:

  • saving and editing Microsoft Office documents
  • researching, accessing and searching the internet
  • downloading and saving documents from websites
  • uploading documents through websites

This qualification is recognised by the Finance Brokers Association of Australia (FBAA) and the Mortgage & Finance Association of Australia (MFAA).  The FBAA & MFAA are the peak associations in the industry and their minimum requirements for entry into their association is the Certificate IV in Finance and Mortgage Broking and the Diploma in Finance and Mortgage Broking Management, respectively is also encouraged.

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) / Credit Transfers (CT)

Credit Transfer (CT)

Integrity Education recognises all previously attained current qualifications and/or statements of attainment issued by another RTO or University.  If you have previously studied and successfully obtained a unit of competency that is contained in one of Integrity Educations courses you will be awarded with a credit transfer.

How do I apply?

To apply for Credit transfer please complete the relevant credit transfer form and attach a certified copy of your transcript/s. Please submit to info@integrity.edu.au. All applications for credit transfer are processed within 5 working days.

Fees

Integrity Education does not charge any fee for credit transfers.

 

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)

Through the RPL process, Integrity will recognise the skills and knowledge of learners that have been gained through relevant work experience and past study.   With learners’ diverse backgrounds, sufficient experience and expertise attained in the industry, this may exempt learners from completing the standard course requirements. 

 

Applicants for RPL must provide evidence that demonstrates current industry knowledge and skills gained through work experience, current and past study against each unit of competency embedded in the qualification.

 

How do I apply?

Integrity have developed a seamless approach to the RPL process, this process puts the learner at the forefront of the process and you will be provided with direction and support throughout.

 

Step 1

To apply for RPL, complete the Self-Assessment tool for your chosen qualification provided to your via email from one of our Course Advisors. Once you have completed this, scan and email to us at info@integrity.edu.au.

Step 2

An informal conversation is held between you and an Integrity Assessor, this conversation will help determine if you are a suitable candidate for RPL and will briefly outline the process. Once completed, the next step is to enrol via the website and continue with the RPL process.

Step 3

Once you have enrolled, The RPL Assessment Kit for your chosen qualification will be made available to you.   Read through the RPL Kit and make notes for discussion with your allocated Integrity Assessor. Your Assessor will discuss the RPL process, evidence requirements, set timelines for the Competency Conversation and answer any questions you may have. 

Step 4

At this step you will be gathering your paper/online based evidence and complete the relevant sections of the Kit.  Once completed, the Kit and required evidence can be uploaded into your student portal.

Step 5

Your Assessor will then contact you to conduct a telephone / skype interview – also known as a Competency Conversation, to discuss your evidence and to ask questions that will be used to fill any identified gaps.  This conversation will take place at a time that is agreeable to you and the Assessor.

Step 6

The assessment decision is made, with the following possible outcomes.

I.             RPL - Competent – will be recorded for each unit you successfully achieve through the RPL process, if you meet all the units in the qualification then your Certificate and unit transcript will be issued within 10 working days to your nominated address.

II.            RPL – Not Yet Competent – GAP Training or Assessment Only Pathways will be offered to help you fill the identified gaps in your skills and knowledge, depending on availability of places, this can be achieved by workshop attendance for Victorian residents or online.
